March 9-12, 2020
Dianne Petty has graciously taken the role of Retreat Coordinator.
We still have 3 spots open, if you have friends or family that would like to join us. Please contact me ASAP for more information.
Gail Hillyard and Ann Maus have some great prizes and games planned, if you so desire to play. Don’t forget your special PJs, I hear these contests can get pretty crazy. There’s $50 in it for the winner! And pack 3 fat quarters for the dice game.
Last year’s PJ winners: (l-r) Donna Mullaney, Connie Martin, and Eileen Burg
I’ve attached the awesome packing list that Joyce has sent you in years past. If you think of anything that we’ve missed, shoot me a message. Quilt-Retreat-packing-list 2020
Please make sure that you have made your hotel reservations. We only have till 2/21/2020 to get rooms reserved.
Again, we are staying at the Camden Hotel, 275 Tanger Blvd, Branson, MO 65616
http://www.camdenhotelbranson.com and their phone number is 417.334.8404.
Double queen rooms are $69/night or a single king is $79/night.
We have reserved the Conference Center and our committee will be going up Sunday to get everything set up and ready for you. Buffet breakfast, catered dinners & nightly desserts will be provided, as well as coffee (reg & decaf), tea, water, cream & sweeteners. Bring snacks, drinks and any special foods that you require. The prep kitchen in the conference center is available for our use with frig, ice maker, microwave, coffee maker and warming units. Grab lunch on your own or order in from one of the local eateries. We are staying right behind the Tanger Outlet Mall. The hotel has laundry facilities, should you need them and each room has a frig.
Each quilter will have a 6 foot table for their use, along with a padded dining chair. You are welcome to bring a special chair to complete your workstation. Please only bring small TV sized tables (19 x 30 max) as extra space due to fire codes. Raised ironing & cutting stations will be set up, as well as design wall space. Bring your machine and get ready to create!
As requested in the past, please make up a note with any medical issues and medications that you will keep privately under your machine. This will only be accessed by medical personal should the need arise. We want everyone to have a safe trip.
Of course, there’s lots to do in Branson besides sewing or crafting. If you need a break you can go shopping, to the movies, see a show, have a great dinner, take a nap or slip off to the indoor heated pool. Again, this is your time to relax and enjoy.
I look forward to watching all the amazing talent that we have around us and maybe stealing a trick or two from all of you more experienced quilters!
If you have any questions, give me a call or drop me a line. I’ll drop you all another note in the next few weeks to remind you of check in times, etc. Hope to see you at the Guild meeting tomorrow.
