Members Teaching Members (MTM) provides inspiration and skill-building for members. For anyone in the community who might like to join classes, consider joining our guild.
If you are interested in brushing up your skills, consider taking a class from a talented fellow member of the guild. Classes are $10.00 each (for half day classes) and will be held at the Christian Church of Mt Home.
Sign-ups sheets with descriptions will be posted at the Classes Table at meetings. Spaces are usually limited, so sign up early. Learn a new skill! Get to know a new quilting friend!
2025 Classes
Valley Ranch Quilt-Along Edyta Sitar pattern–Vicki will coach us as members participate in this block of the month quilt. The pattern is 20.00. Each block will progress with complexity, making the beginning blocks great for refresher lessons in fabric, thread, cutting and piecing. Vicki will be available after guild from 1-4 pm if participants want to sew together or need some help with construction. Members who are not participating may bring sewing and sit with the group for companionship. Videos will be posted on YouTube from Edyta’s channel. Mondo Bag–Tuesday April 29 (9-5)–Darlene Landrum–Full Day Class is $20.00. This cute bag uses preprinted interfacing (included in the pattern) to make this colorful and practical bag. Quilted Hug–Tuesday May 20 (9-5)–Vicky Williamson–Full Day Class is $20.00. This quilted wrap would make a cute gift for a special someone and will teach you how to work with Minky and other cuddle fabrics (which make great backs for baby quilts).
Convergence Quilt–Thursday July 17 (9-5)–Steve Landrum–Full Day Class is $20.00. Steve will teach how to cut multiple fabrics into strips and sew back together into an amazing harmonic pattern. (Darlene, not Steve, shown in photo)
