2024 Guild Programs

The 2024 Chair for Guild Meeting Programs is still open and being recruited by Jonna Butler– Chair of Education Committee. Jonna is organizing programs for now and detail will be posted soon.

September–Judy Mahaney from Remember Me Shop. will demonstrate specialty rulers for specific blocks.

October–Theresa Ward from Always Quilting  New Look for String Quilting

November–Debbie Rees from Blind and Veterans Services with share her program “Improving Lives Together.  This year’s Challenge quilts will be presented.

December–Holiday Party

Guests are welcome to attend our in-person programs at no charge.

Each monthTwo members will present a 5 min “Every Quilt Tells a Story”; if other members have a story, sign up with Jonna Butler at [email protected].

January 2024–Darlene Landrum–What Judges Look For in Quilts

February 2024–Peggy Moody–Indigenous Quilting–insights into Native American and Hawaiian quilting traditions.

March 2024–Diane Siddons shares the history of our guild’s challenges. There will be a trunk show of challenges from previous years.

April 2024–Serenity House will share how their organization helps our community and how our quilters have helped their residents.

May–Connie Smith’s Dare To Create Trunk Show

June–Linda Pumphrey–Red and White Quilts

July–Cindy Albright–Australian Quilting

August–Teresa Sell from Wooden Quilts Creations (was at our show)

In 2023, we had several outstanding programs:

November–Mary Spilman will present “What Was I Thinking??”–a trunk show of her many scrappy quilts. Our annual “garage” sale will be held before the meeting and during break. Voting for 2024 Officers will be held. RSVP to December meeting is required for food preparations.

December–Celebration of our 40th Anniversary of Hill N Hollow Quilt Guild.  Program will be Meet and Greet our past Presidents, along with our annual Holiday Party.  RSVP to December meeting is required for food preparations.

February 2023–Member, Betty Pulver, has entered every guild challenge.  She  will present her challenges from previous years. Come be inspired, and bring your own challenge projects to share. Diane Siddons, Challenge Chair will announce this year’s Challenge.

January 2023 –“Into the Light” Speaker Lisa Jo Blossom shared what their organization does to stop child trafficking in Mt Home. Our guild donates quilts to this group.
